MediLodge of Sterling Heights Receives Citation Free Survey

On Friday, April 4, 2008 MediLodge of Sterling Heights, a 335 bed skilled nursing facility, received a citation free annual survey from the Department of Community Health.  Donna Kohlhorst-Burbary, Administrator at MediLodge of Sterling Heights since 1994, stated that “When we received the final report during our exit conference with the surveyors, we could hardly believe it! The good news traveled so fast that our staff was congratulating each other with tears, hugs and cheering throughout the facility. Even our residents got caught up in the excitement and were thrilled that their home did so well!  It is very rare that a facility achieves a citation free survey - particularly one as large as ours. The power of teamwork never fails to amaze me. It makes me very proud to be a part of such a caring and compassionate group of professionals.”

MediLodge of Sterling Heights has been managed by the MediLodge Group since the spring of 1994. The facility has many amenities including a gift shop, library, beauty shop, buffet style dining, and 24 hour room service. Frank Wronski, President of MediLodge Group, stated: “We couldn’t be more proud of Sterling Heights’ accomplishments.  To receive a citation free annual survey in a facility of its size is most unusual.”
