Fountain View of Monroe Director of Nursing Receives National Association of Directors of Nursing Administration’s Nurse Administrator of the Year by Region Award

Fountain View of Monroe, a Ciena Healthcare skilled nursing center in Monroe, Mich., announced that the Michigan Chapter of the National Association of Directors of Nursing Administration Long Term Care (NADONA) has named Kimberlee Danish as the Nurse Administrator of the Year Central Region. Danish is the Director of Nursing at Fountain View of Monroe. NADONA is the largest organization representing nurses working in long-term care/post acute care settings in the country. The award recognizes individuals for their outstanding leadership and contributions to the long-term care profession.

The Award was presented to Danish at NADONA’s 30th National Conference held recently in Lake Buena Vista, Florida.

Throughout my career, I have consistently emphasized the importance of heightening the quality of care provided for this fragile population,” said Danish. “Working with Ciena Healthcare has been rewarding both professionally and personally. Danish, a nurse in long-term care for more than 30 years, has always had a passion for the long-term care industry and taking care of others. As a Director of Nursing, she oversees and supervises the Fountain View of Monroe nursing staff. Throughout the years she has mentored numerous staff members to become Registered Nurses. Under her guidance, Fountain View of Monroe has received Deficiency-Free Surveys for two consecutive years, earned a 5-Star Quality Rating and is ranked one of the best nursing homes by U.S. News & World Report.

Additionally, Danish was awarded the Circle of Excellence by NADONA LTC, recognized for Outstanding Service and Dedication in the Long Term Care Continuum for 2015 – 2016.

Lisa Anetrini, Director of Clinical Services for Ciena Healthcare, nominated Danish for the Nurse Administrator of the Year. She has worked with Danish for years and watched her passion and talents for nursing inspire many people.
