HAPPY ANNIVERSARY HCAM!   1948-2018
For the last 70 years the Health Care Association of Michigan (HCAM) has been
proudly serving our members. We were established in 1948, as the Michigan
Association of Approved Nursing Homes. Members were typically personal
homes, converted houses or two-family flats where individuals, couples and
families took in the community’s frail elderly to provide room, board, personal
care and nursing care. Quite a bit has changed since those early days, but not
the need for the profession to come together as a unified voice. HCAM has
since grown to represent more than 340 nursing and rehabilitation facilities.
The Michigan Center for Assisted Living (MCAL) began to serve other senior
living settings in 1999 and is the premier organization for AL communities.
We are grateful for the trust you have placed in us and look forward to
continuing to represent you in the years to come.

We are celebrating our 70th anniversary during our Annual Convention and
Expo. Please join us from 6 – 7:30 pm at the Amway Grand Plaza Hotel on
Tuesday, November 6 for our PLATINUM celebration.
