“Regency at Westland will continue Ciena Healthcare’s tradition of putting the needs of residents first, by shortening the gap between hospital care and returning home,” said Mohammad Qazi, President, Ciena Healthcare. “The center’s dedicated and professional staff is committed to delivering the highest quality care, and making residents feel at home in a comfortable setting.”

Regency at Westland includes 50 private suites and 22 semi-private suites with individual showers. All suites are barrier-free and have private bathrooms. Regency at Westland offers a range of comprehensive therapy and nursing care under the direction of a board-certified physician. Skilled services include 24-hour nursing care, Physical, Occupational and Speech Therapy and a state-of-the-art rehabilitation gym.

“We welcome Ciena Healthcare’s Regency at Westland to our community,” said Westland Mayor William Wild. “They will provide high-quality care for both short-term and long-term residents, which is an asset to the community. We also greatly appreciate the company’s investment in the City and County, and the many jobs this facility will provide.”

Qazi added that another benefit of facilities like Regency at Westland is the reduction of hospital readmissions.

“It’s clear that skilled nursing centers like Regency at Westland are becoming in increasingly integral part of reducing hospital readmissions, and must be considered a critical component of the recovery process,” added Qazi. “Regency at Westland will provide effective, quality care to residents requiring additional therapy and recovery time before returning home.”
