NADONA has been the leading advocate and educational organization for DONs, ADONs, and Nurse Leaders in long term and post acute care since 1986.

With 32 state chapters, it continues to be the largest organization representing nurses working in long term and post acute care settings. The Michigan Chapter of NADONA has more than 200 members throughout the state of Michigan.

Each year, the MI-NADONA/LTC Annual Convocation & Expo brings together approximately 250 Directors of Nursing, Nurse Managers, Unit/Charge Nurses, and Corporate Clinical Consultants from skilled nursing facilities across the state.

The Health Care Association of Michigan (HCAM) is honored to be the exclusive event manager for the MI-NADONA/LTC, including the Annual Convocation & Expo.

COVID-19 Related Health & Safety Protocols

We look forward to safely seeing everyone. HCAM and MI-NADONA are committed to our members’ health and safety.

HCAM requires all attendees follow any federal, state or local health and safety standards, as well as any health and safety standards that may be implemented by HCAM, the State of Michigan, or the event venue after your registration up to and through the end of the convention.

Our residents are extremely vulnerable to COVID-19. As you know, not all residents have been able to be vaccinated and some have elected against it. Additionally, the data shows breakthrough cases are the most dangerous in this population.

Because of these factors, and to minimize risks, we are implementing the following protocols:

VACCINATION: All attendees and guests must be fully vaccinated. Instructions will be sent to you following registration.

ON-SITE HEALTH SCREENINGS: All attendees and guests must complete daily health screenings on-site.

GREETINGS: Please limit contact with others to “elbow bump” greetings. Please do not shake hands or hug.

MASKS: At this time, all attendees and guests will not be required to wear a mask.

SANITIZING: Hand sanitizer stations will be available.

EXPOSURE: Anyone who has experienced COVID-19 symptoms, tested positive for COVID-19, or been exposed to a COVID-19 positive individual within the last 14 days prior to attending convention should stay home to avoid the risk of infecting others.

LIABILITY: In-person participants acknowledge that there is a risk of contracting COVID-19 infection and that HCAM cannot prevent and is not responsible for such risk of infection to any person who chooses to attend this event in-person.

Due to the rapid changes in variant transmissions, HCAM may need to revise these protocols leading up to and during this event. Attendees will be notified of any changes via email.

Attendees will be required to visit every Prize Hunt booth to be eligible to win expo prizes. Exhibitors who contract a Prize Hunt booth will be acknowledged on a feature page in the Vendor Catalog.

Attendee Prize Giveaway

Exhibitors are encouraged to purchase a prize at least $50 in value for the attendee prize giveaway. Previous prizes have included designer handbags, trips/excursions, wine baskets, spa baskets, smart devices such Amazon Echo, gift cards or cash, and exhibitor products (such as 1 year free license of software).

Participating exhibitors will be encouraged to proudly display their prize at their own booth during the expo show. Prize winners will be drawn from the collected Prize Hunt cards to promote attendee fairness so that each attendee has the opportunity to win 1 prize.

Attendees will visit each of the 20 prize hunt booths indicated on their prize hunt card to get their cards validated by the participating prize hunt booth exhibitors. Once the attendee’s prize hunt card is completely validated, the attendee will drop their card into the prize raffle drum located on the prize stage.

Around 4:30 PM, an HCAM representative will draw and announce prize raffle winners from the prize stage. Attendees who have won a raffle prize will collect their prize directly from the exhibitor prior to the conclusion of the expo.
