MDHHS LTC Respiratory Protection Program (SNF/AL)

MDHHS is continuing to provide free qualitative fit testing apparatus kits and Michigan Occupational Safety and Health Administration (MIOSHA) training resources to ensure respiratory protection standards are met throughout the state. Qualifying facilities include skilled nursing facilities, adult foster care, homes for the aged, and assisted living.

To request these free respiratory fit testing kits, a facility’s Infection Preventionist (or other designated facility employee) must complete this order form. Respiratory fit testing kit orders will be placed at the end of each month. After you complete and submit the order form, kits will be shipped using the information you provided. Following shipment, MDHHS will reach out to you with MIOSHA training resources that will assist in developing a respiratory protection program. Contact information for MIOSHA Consultative Assistance services will also be provided, in case you require further assistance in training staff on the use of the respiratory fit testing kits.
