WHY IS MEDICATION MANAGEMENT IMPORTANT?

The majority of your residents likely require assistance with medication management. Prepare your staff to safely and effectively provide this important service and stay in compliance with state regulations regarding medication training.

HCAM developed a new and improved train the trainer program specifically geared to prepare Home for the Aged, Adult Foster Care and other assisted living settings to appropriately train staff who are involved in medication management in each particular setting. This one-and-a-half-day program and training kit will prepare the trainer and provide him/her with the tools needed to train and evaluate staff for competency.

Trainers will learn how to effectively teach adult learners, and the course does a deep dive into each unit to ensure trainers have the knowledge and tools to take back to their communities and teach their own Medication Aides.
