AHCA/NCAL Releases Behavioral Health Guide (SNF/AL)
The American Health Care Association and National Center for Assisted Living (AHCA/NCAL) developed a free-for-members Behavioral Health Guide. Created by members of the Clinical Practice Committee with expertise and experience in building successful behavioral programs, the program consists of five modules – each focused on a key area of behavioral health.
- Acquired Brain Injury/Traumatic Brain Injury
- Dementia
- Medical Complexities and Mental Health
- Substance Use Disorders
- Rehabilitation Therapies
Each module contains one or more educational videos, corresponding PowerPoint presentations, handouts and an overall key takeaways document. Facilities can use the modules sequentially or use individual elements separately.
