Assisted Living’s Standalone Website is Now Part of the HCAM Website
HCAM works every day to support, inform, educate and advocate on behalf of our assisted living and skilled nursing members. To that end, HCAM moved away from using the “Michigan Center for Assisted Living (MCAL)” name to simply be known as one group – the Health Care Association of Michigan – one name and now one website. The MCAL and HCAM websites have joined together; and, as of February 1, 2024, the MCAL website will no longer operate. Instead, assisted living members can find resources on the HCAM website. Members can click the “learn more” button (circled in red below) on the HCAM homepage to get pointers for navigating the site. There is also an option to request access to member-only information. Whether you are new or previously had a MCAL username and password, you now will need a HCAM username and password to access the member-only resources. Simply click the “Request Access” button and you’ll be ready to go in minutes.
Social Media: Going forward, assisted living members will be able to find assisted living social media posts on HCAM’s Facebook, LinkedIn and Instagram sites. Thelma’s Instagram has aways included assisted living posts and will continue to do so. After February 1, 2024, the MCAL Facebook page will no longer operate, so be sure to follow and like the links above to stay current with social media posts.
