Primary Responsibilities:

  1. Organize and lead activities.
  2. Oversee direction of activity aides.
  3. Keep track of budget.
  4. Take the lead on calendar and newsletter
  5. Complete MDS portions of care in a timely manner into the Point Click Care electronic system
  6. Responsible for confirming entertainers and completing entertainment agreements.
  7. Completes and performs performance review for activity aides.
  8. Oversees the volunteer program.

Position Summary:

  • Maintain a collaborative working relationship with the CEO, COO and CFO to prepare annual operating budgets for approval and the resources to carry out programs and activities.
  • Maintain excellent communication with clients and family members and ensure that complaints are treated as learning opportunities for the team and are handled thoroughly.
  • Ensure preparedness and successfully lead all facility surveys, and ensure Quality Assurance and Performance Improvement in developing and implementing appropriate plans of action.

Qualification Summary:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Health Administration or related field required.
  • A current (or willingness to obtain) Michigan Nursing Home Administrator’s license
  • Experience in leadership and financial management in a hospital, rehabilitation and/or long-term care facility leading multiple discipline and departments.
  • Education and professional experience in home healthcare, private duty, home and community-based services  and/or an outpatient setting is strongly preferred.
