Education Specialist – Lansing, Michigan

A Lansing-based trade association seeks a creative meeting coordinator to assist with conferences and education programs.

The Education Specialist provides administrative support for the planning, facilitation and evaluation of association activities including developing marketing materials, soliciting sponsorships, speaker management, processing registration records, and more. The Education Specialist also takes the lead on planning and executing the annual expo in conjunction with a state convention.


Applicants must have superior customer/member services skills and event management experience. Bachelor’s degree required. Certified Meeting Professional (CMP) designation and experience with Learning Management Systems (LMS) preferred. Experience with healthcare CE processes and/or graphic design (Adobe InDesign in particular) is a bonus. Some in-state travel, including occasional overnights, is required.

  6. Responsible for confirming entertainers and completing entertainment agreements.
  7. Completes and performs performance review for activity aides.
  8. Oversees the volunteer program.
