Federal regulations require that Skilled Nursing Facilities provide the necessary care and services to attain or maintain the highest practicable physical, mental, and psychosocial well-being. A great way to invest in your facility and provide excellent resident care is to incorporate Restorative Nursing Programs in your facility care.
In this three-hour comprehensive virtual training, you will receive education and be taught skills to develop and implement successful Restorative Programming at your facility. This will include discussing and reviewing different Restorative care delivery models that are currently operating in facilities around you.

Jennifer Napier is a registered nurse who has devoted her career to the long-term-care industry. She has a passion for sharing her valuable expertise to customers, clinicians and peers specific to post-acute care, reimbursement, quality initiatives, Restorative, and SNF regulations in order to help others grow and thrive in the industry.
From over sixteen years of experience, Jennifer’s expertise includes MDS, Case Management, Restorative Nursing, QAPI, CMS Quality Initiatives, Compliance, managing audits and appeals, and previously served in the role of Regional Director of Clinical Reimbursement. Jennifer currently holds multiple certifications from AAPACN including RAC-CT, RAC-CTA, and QAPI Certified Professional designation

RN: Nurse participants may also earn up to 3 nurse education contact hours. Health Care Association of Michigan is approved as a provider of nursing continuing professional development by the Wisconsin Nurses Association, an accredited approver by the American Nurses Credentialing Center’s Commission on Accreditation.
NHA: The Health Care Association of Michigan is a Certified Sponsor of continuing education with the National Association of Long Term Care Administrator Boards (NAB). This program has been approved for Continuing Education for 3 total participant hours from NAB/NCERS – approval #20231114-3-A87291-DL.
Requirements for Successful Completion: To receive contact hours for live virtual participation in this program, participants must attend the entire program. Attendance will be verified automatically via the virtual platform.
Learning Objectives:
1. Understand the required documentation for restorative nursing.
2. Understand the different options for modes of delivery of restorative nursing.
3. Identify the Nursing interventions that are included in restorative nursing.
Nurse Learner Outcomes:
As a result of this educational activity, participants will self-report a knowledge gain on the post session evaluation of the key components in a successful restorative program.

CANCELLATION: All refund requests must be made in writing to Mary Gettel. Individual registration fees, less a $25 processing fee, will be refunded for cancellations received in writing prior to August 19, 2022. Cancellations received after August 19, 2022 and no-show registrants will not receive a refund nor a credit to a future program.
SUBSTITUTIONS: Individuals registered to attend this program, but unable to participate, may send an alternate in their place. Unacceptable Behavior is defined as:

Verbal abuse of anyone associated with our event. Examples include, but are not limited to, verbal comments related to gender, sexual orientation, disability, physical appearance, body size, race, religion, national origin, inappropriate use of nudity and/or sexual images in public spaces or in presentations, or threatening or stalking behaviors.
Disruption of presentations during sessions, in the exhibit hall, or at other events organized by HCAM/MCAL throughout the meeting. All participants must comply with the instructions of the moderator and any event staff.
Additional prohibited activities include:
Participants should not copy or take screen shots of Q&A or any chat room activity that takes place in the virtual space.
Participants are strictly prohibited from recording, distributing or otherwise publicizing sessions in any manner, unless prior approval is received in writing from both the association and the individual presenter. All materials are proprietary and protected.
Sharing personal event registration sign on information with other individuals to attempt circumventing registration payment in prohibited.
Participants are prohibited from accessing the program on two devices at the same time.
All registrants must present a conference name badge to enter education sessions, earn credit, and/or participate in networking functions or meals.
HCAM/MCAL reserves the right to block access to the event and/or prohibit attendance at any future meeting, virtual or in person, and seek legal action against violators where applicable.
