Expanding Veterans Options for Long Term Care

On January 2, President Biden signed the Senator Elizabeth Dole 21st Century Veterans Healthcare and Benefits Improvement Act into law. This law creates a pilot program for eligible veterans to receive assisted living care. You can read more about this pilot here, under section 127. HCAM has advocated for this at past Congressional Briefings, and we are excited this initiative has crossed the finish line. NCAL will continue conversations with the national VA as this new law is implemented, and HCAM will continue to provide updates.
