F-888 Enforcement Actions (SNF)

The association received notification from the Michigan Department of Licensing & Regulatory Affairs (LARA) recently regarding guidance they received from CMS related to F-888 citations and enforcement. The department shared the enforcement actions expected to be utilized for the COVID Vaccine Mandate compliance reviews noting non-compliance as below:

These actions & timeframes are only for Discretionary Denial of Payment of New Admissions (DDPNA) imposed for F888 deficiencies. If a facility has additional deficiencies that warrant a lessor timeframe for the imposition of the DDPNA, state agencies are to follow the standard guidance.
