HHS COVID-19 Public Health Emergency Transition Briefing Recording Now Available (SNF/AL)

Last week, the U.S. Department of Health & Human Services (HHS) shared a briefing about the COVID Public Health Emergency (PHE) and upcoming transition plans. A recorded version of that briefing is now available, along with the PHE Transition Roadmap that is mentioned frequently throughout the call. 

HHS shares that, although COVID remains a public health priority, the U.S. is better prepared to respond to the ongoing impact and is now in position to transition from an acute emergency phase. Over the next few months, HHS will transition our COVID-19 policies, as well as the current flexibilities enabled by the COVID-19 emergency declarations, into improving standards of care for patients, working closely with partners – including state agencies, industry, and advocates – to ensure an orderly transition.
