MDHHS Requesting Testing Documentation – Due September 30 (SNF/AL)

MDHHS reached out to HCAM regarding the need to request documentation regarding the testing reimbursement costs. MDHHS has to report and document the reimbursement to the federal government as their requirement for federal dollars. MDHHS would like to receive this documentation by September 30, 2022. If you cannot meet this deadline continue to work on getting the information filed.

MDHHS stated that they will be reaching out to nursing facilities and assisted living providers to request documentation to support all COVID-19 testing related lab billings that have been submitted to the Michigan Department of Health and Human Services for services performed October 2020 and later. MDHHS federal partners are requesting that MDHHS submit documentation to support all testing reimbursements that have occurred.

As a separate note going forward as of July 1, 2022, MDHHS will not accept a reimbursement request for COVID-19 testing related lab fees without the supporting documentation. HCAM and MCAL members as you continue to submit your requests for reimbursement, please provide adequate documentation and file it with your request.
