Reminder – MDHHS CMP Funds for Visitation (SNF)

MDHHS announced on Thursday April 14 the availability of a CMP grant to purchase air purifier systems and other devices to assist with visitation. The facility must apply for the grant by May 31, 2022. Below is the information provided by MDHHS on these grants.

We are pleased to inform you that the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services (CMS) has granted Michigan the use of Civil Monetary Penalty Funds (CMP) to provide nursing facilities with visitation aides to ensure residents can have safe visits with friends and family.

Visitation aides now include portable air purifiers and fans.

If you wish to participate in this grant, please review the CMS application and Michigan Department of Health and Human Services (MDHHS) cover letter. The grant will be available until May 31, 2022.

You must send the CMS application template. Please note:

• Include a contact person at the nursing home.
• Include the NPI.
• Please check your math. Avoid having your application returned to you.
