Share Your Stories: NCAL Requests Help Sharing Resident Stories
In January, the U.S. Senate Special Committee on Aging held a hearing, “Assisted Living Facilities: Understanding Long-Term Care Options for Older Adults.” As a follow-up, residents and families are asked to submit their stories and experiences with assisted living.
We need your help identifying residents and families who are willing to share their positive, life-affirming stories about their experience with assisted living. Committee on Aging members need to hear directly from residents and their families about why they chose assisted living, why they love it, what makes their community a home, and how their care team has become a family. Stories about how assisted living has helped improve quality of life and health outcomes as well as supporting families are also strongly encouraged. Please direct residents and families to the NCAL Action Center to learn more and easily submit comments directly to the committee. It is crucial that we share these stories and show how assisted living is truly providing high-quality care at a high value to our nation’s seniors. Thank you!
