Temporary Pause in Nursing Home Care Compare Updates (SNF)

On August 15, the Centers for Medicare & Medicare Services (CMS) announced a temporary pause in updates to Nursing Home Care Compare. With the recent transition of Survey and Certification data infrastructure to the Internet Quality Improvement Evaluation System (iQIES), CMS is pausing to verify that the quality data is being accurately reflected. During this pause, star ratings will remain static until the October 2025 refresh. September Provider Preview reports will be available, but the data for all domains will remain paused. CMS reminds providers that they are responsible for continuing to post their most recent survey findings (2567) in a publicly accessible area within the facility.
