Webinar on Michigan Physician Orders for Scope of Treatment
The Department of Licensing and Regulatory Affairs, Bureau of Community and Health Systems (LARA/BCHS), in conjunction with the Michigan Department of Health and Human Services (MDHHS), will host a Zoom webinar for all providers and stakeholders to learn more about the Michigan Physician Orders for Scope of Treatment (MI-POST). Speakers will include representatives from Michigan Department of Health and Human Services MI-POST Advisory Committee.
The MI-POST form is an optional 1-page, 2-sided medical order with a person’s wishes for care in crisis. MI-POST is a part of the advance care planning process that includes choices about cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR), critical care and other wanted care.
Objectives:
- Learn about the work of the MI-POST Advisory Committee
- Learn about the MI-POST form and uses
- Learn about identifying appropriate uses of the MI-POST in healthcare facilities
- Review rules for conflicting advance care directives
