CMS Shares FY 2022 ICD-10 Codes (SNF)
The Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services has posted the updates for fiscal year 2022 to ICD-10 codes on the 2022 ICD-10-CM website. These codes should be utilized for resident encounters & discharges beginning October 1, 2021.Read More
PDPM Final Payment Rule FY 2022
CMS released the final payment rule for Medicare Part A SNF services under PDPM effective October 1, 2021 with an overall impact of a market basket increase of 1.2 percent. The rule does not include any payment recalibration as presented in the proposed rule earlier this year. CMS reviewed the “parity adjustment” based on feedback to the proposed rule and determined that data was inadequate to make the adjustment in the FY 2022 year. The adjustment will be reviewed again in the release of the FY 2023 rule.Read More

The association is pleased to announce the return of our newsletter. When COVID-19 first began to appear in Michigan, our bi-weekly newsletter was no longer a viable means of communicating with members. Information was coming out much too quickly - I have often likened it to drinking from a fire hose! We made the decision to suspend the newsletter for a couple editions, little did we realize it would be on-hold for well over the next year.Read More
