MDHHS Releases DCW Reimbursement Forms Effective October 1, 2021 (SNF/AL)

MDHHS released the Direct Care Worker (DCW) Reimbursement forms for Nursing Homes, Adult Foster Care and Homes for the Aged effective October 1, 2021. The DCW program is similar to the prior year program (FY 2021) in that it impacts the same facilities and staff who were entitled to reimbursement in the prior year which ended on September 30, 2021. The primary change in FY 2022 is the hourly amount has been increased to $2.35 per hour effective October 1, 2021. These new forms must be used to request reimbursement for the hours paid during the state fiscal year of 2022 – October 1, 2021 through September 30, 2022. Reimbursement for state fiscal year 2021 must be made on the forms for that year – see article below.
