Revised CMP Grant Tips and Toolkit (SNF)

On September 25, 2023, the Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services (CMS) released QSO-23-23 Civil Money Penalty Reinvestment Program (CMPRP) Revisions, which outline the revised use of federally imposed civil money penalty (CMP) funds by states. While the breadth of applicable topics and uses has not changed significantly, the financial parameters of CMP grant funds were redefined. AHCA compiled a toolkit designed to assist members interested in applying for CMP grant funds to support projects. This toolkit shares categories that CMS allows for funding requests as well as information about funding parameters, examples of projects that could be requested under the revisions, and tips for submitting an application to the CMP program.
