$2,500 Scholarships Available for SNF and AL Employees

Nominations are open for the 2025 Health Care Association of Michigan Long-Term Care Awards of Excellence to honor individuals and teams in the skilled nursing and assisted living sectors across Michigan. The awards include:

◼️David Lebenbom Memorial Scholarship for Skilled Nursing Facilities. Applicants must be employed for a minimum of one year by an HCAM skilled nursing facility member in good standing and be enrolled in an education program related to long-term care at an accredited college or university. This can include administration, nursing, occupational therapy and other related fields. In 2025, HCAM will award up to eight $2,500 scholarships. 

◼️HCAM’s Assisted Living Scholarship. New this year, this scholarship will help employees meet education expenses. Applicants must be employed for at least one year by an HCAM assisted living community member in good standing and be enrolled in an education program related to long-term care at an accredited college or university. This can include life enrichment, direct care, administration, sales, cooking, maintenance, med tech, occupational therapy and other related fields. HCAM will award up to two $2,500 scholarships.
