CMS to Launch Staffing Campaign (SNF)

In response to staffing concerns across the nation, the Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services (CMS) is launching the Nursing Home Staffing Campaign aimed at increasing the number of nurses working in nursing facilities as well as the state agencies that inspect facilities. CMS plans to provide financial incentives for Registered Nurses, such as tuition reimbursement, and promote training opportunities to streamline the process to become a Certified Nurse Aide, which can include paid, on-the-job training. CMS will implement the Nursing Home Staffing Campaign in phases, but a specific timeline has not yet been released. Visit cms.gov to learn more about this upcoming campaign.
