MDHHS Urges Vaccinations as Respiratory Cases Rise in Michigan (SNF/AL)

The Michigan Department of Health and Human Services (MDHHS) reports increases in flu, COVID-19 and RSV in Michigan. Trends in respiratory illnesses are at the highest levels so far this season. The flu is responsible for 6.8% of outpatient visits nationally, and 4.5% for Michigan. As Michigan activity typically lags behind the national trend, MDHHS says that we can expect increased respiratory cases over the next few weeks. MDHHS is urging Michigan residents to get vaccinated as soon as possible to help protect against severe consequences from these illnesses. Flu, COVID and RSV vaccines are widely available.
