FAQ Document is Available for New CNA Training Requirements (SNF)

The Bureau of Community and Health Systems, under the Department of Licensing and Regulatory Affairs, issued new training requirements effective March 23, 2026, for certified nurse aides. At that time, an attestation will be required indicating that at least 12 hours annually (24 hours in the two-year renewal period) of continuing education (CE) or courses were completed within the renewal period. A CNA CE FAQ is now available on the CNA Registry webpage in the “Renewals and CE Requirements” section for CNAs and employers looking for more details on the new training requirements.
