Governor Proposes FY 2024 Budget
Governor Whitmer presented her proposed FY2024 budget today, February 8. The proposal included an overall increase to the long-term care services budget line, up to $2.2 billion. The following items were included:
- Support for the continued increase in direct care worker wages;
- Funds for beginning the transition to a new Medicaid nursing facility reimbursement model, starting October 1, 2023; and
- Continuation of the transition of MI Health Link to a Dual Eligible Special Needs Plans, in compliance with CMS regulations.
