HCAM Attends AHCA/NCAL Congressional Briefing Fly-In

HCAM members, staff and Thelma were in Washington, D.C. at the start of the week to advocate for our state’s nursing facilities and assisted living communities as part of the American Health Care Association/National Center for Assisted Living’s Congressional Briefing. Hot topics were Medicaid and the provider tax. The team met with Michigan’s Congressional delegation to discuss critical long-term care issues including how Medicaid and provider taxes provides essential coverage for long-term care residents.
