AFC Group Home New Provider Training from State of Michigan

The Michigan Department of Licensing and Regulatory Affairs will host AFC group home new provider training via zoom on July 16, 2025, 8:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. Eastern. This is a good opportunity for new AFC group home licensee designees, administrators and managers. 

Training topics will include required resident forms in AFC group homes; direct care staffing requirements, qualifications and training in AFC group homes; direct care staff record clearances; what to expect during a renewal inspection and special investigation, and a look at corrective action plans.

Attendees must be a licensed AFC group home provider or currently affiliated with a licensed AFC group home. Attendees can earn 4 hours toward the required annual training for licensee/licensee designees and administrators. Individuals cannot attend this training more than once a year.
