LARA Transitioning Nurse Aide Registry (SNF)

Effective July 26, 2023, the Michigan Department of Licensing and Regulatory Affairs, Bureau of Community and Health Systems, will transition the Nurse Aide Registry from Headmaster, L.L.P., to Michigan Nurse Aide, Training and Enforcement System (MI-NATES), which is a new software program with the state. This transition will impact new applicants as well as current registered nurse aides and permitted nurse aide trainers and training programs.

MI-NATES will be used for:

• Nurse aides, trainers and training programs to electronically submit applications, renewals and payments
• Nurse aides to print certificates of registration
• Trainers and training programs to print permits
• Nurse aides, trainers, and training programs to review or update existing registration or permit information
• Public registry of nurse aides, trainers and training programs
