Valuable Member Resources

As a reminder, the HCAM website provides valuable resources for assisted living members including Regulatory Resources for HFA & AFC. In addition to HCAM, the association’s national affiliate — the National Center for Assisted Living (NCAL) – is an excellent source for resources and other connections. The NCAL policy and regulatory resource center website offers a wealth of resources tailored to assisted living providers.  

Your community’s HCAM membership includes access to NCAL. Click here if you have not yet set up your NCAL login. Some of NCAL’s more valuable resources include the following:  

• Affordable Assisted Living: Materials to help you explore the feasibility of expanding affordable assisted living options across the country. ​​ 
• NCAL State Bill Tracker: An interactive state map displaying a list of all assisted living legislation and regulations that NCAL tracks. 
• Assisted Living State Survey Data: An interactive tool providing access to state assisted living survey data, where available.  
• Assisted Living Regulatory Mapping: A comprehensive mapping resource of state assisted living regulations that can be easily searched for all 50 states and Washington, D.C. 
• Assisted Living Policy & Procedure Manual: A manual of general policies, procedures and forms. It is designed to be customized and modified to match the needs of different assisted living settings.
