News About the Upcoming ePOC Transition to iQIES (SNF)

On July 14, 2025, the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services (CMS) will release the new Internet Quality Improvement & Evaluation System (iQIES) Electronic Plan of Correction (ePOC) system to participating nursing facilities and state agencies. Using the new ePOC system is not mandatory, but CMS encourages nursing facilities that have been using ePOC to continue using this functionality to minimize CMS certification and enforcement work disruption. Once ePOC functionality is enabled in iQIES, the current ePOC system will be disabled. Providers that currently use ePOC will need to request the “Provider ePOC Administrator Role” in iQIES after signing up for HCQIS Access Roles & Profile Access. Please note: You will not be able to request the Provider ePOC Administrator role in iQIES until July 14, 2025. CMS posted updated User Manuals to the QTSO site, along with training in QSEP for the Provider ePOC Administrator Role. It is recommended that everyone who will need to obtain access to this role take the time to review the training. Questions? Email: [email protected].
