AHCA/NCAL Supports Coalition Efforts to Extend Telehealth Flexibilities (AL/SNF)
AHCA/NCAL was among 350 provider and consumer advocacy organizations that recently submitted a letter to Congressional leadership seeking legislation to assure the continuation or restoration of various telehealth access flexibilities first implemented during the COVID-19 public health emergency and subsequently extended by Congress through March 31, 2025. Without Congressional action, important physician telehealth services will no longer be available for Medicare beneficiaries in many parts of the country, and beneficiaries nationwide will no longer be able to receive telehealth services from physical and occupational therapists, speech-language pathologists and other services currently available.
CMS posted a Telehealth FAQ Calendar Year 2025 document that discusses those telehealth policies that will expire March 31 without Congressional action and those that will remain under other policy provisions.
