AHCA Launches Training Program For Building Trust

Through a grant from the Centers for Disease Prevention and Control, AHCA/NCAL is launching an online course entitled “Building Trust: A Strategy to Improve Patient Safety, Staff Wellbeing & Vaccine Uptake in Long Term Care.” This free, four-lesson virtual program is full of tools and resources to help equip leaders with skills and practices to build trust with staff to improve outcomes. The goal of this program is for long term care leaders to learn how to build and rebuild trust with their staff to increase vaccine uptake and other outcomes such as infection prevention and control measures and staff retention. This helps facilities improve their quality of care and operations.

Participation in the course requires completion of four lessons that each last 2-3 hours. While there are no CEs offered with this course, learners receive a certificate of completion once they successfully complete the course.

Learners then can choose to take the optional add-on course entitled “Advancing Trust in Your Building” to learn how to bring the course concepts to staff within the organization.
