IQIES and ePOC Integration Update (SNF)

The Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services (CMS) announced that they will transition nursing facility provider records to the Internet Quality Improvement & Evaluation System (iQIES) on July 14, 2025. These records will no longer reside with the ASPEN record system. CMS will enable Electronic Plans of Correction (ePOC) functionality into iQIES, which will have new workflows and efficiencies that will improve platform stability and user navigation. CMS also simplified the process for activating ePOC user roles to allow for better security and access.

Please note: When nursing facility records are activated in iQIES, all functionality associated with provider records in ASPEN will be deactivated. For those who have pending POC transactions during this time, CMS will provide transition guidance so SNF providers can continue that pending work in the iQIES system. HCAM will continue to monitor and share information when provider training on the new system is available.
